PUSH! developed a framework of values and principles that are at the core of the Global Alliance's efforts.

Strategic Goals
PUSH! has identified six strategic goals to fulfil its mission:
1. Be the global voice: Unite organisations across sectors to create the global voice for spina bifida and hydrocephalus.
2. Accelerate prevention: Set an agenda to accelerate prevention, research and programs on spina bifida and hydrocephalus.
3. Realize optimum care: Identify gaps, prioritize research needs and program efforts, and set guidelines to realize optimum care.
4. Support quality of life: Set an agenda to better measure quality of life across the lifespan of persons with disabilities and their families.
5. Elevate awareness: Publish and disseminate country-level performance report cards.
6. Mobilize resources: Attract partners to increase funding for spina bifida and hydrocephalus prevention and care.

Did you know that there are round 1.5 million people globally living with spina bifida? Approximately 60% of children with spina bifida will develop hydrocephalus.
